The Loewenberg School of Nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program is designed
to accommodate the needs of high school graduates, transfer students, college graduates,
licensed practical nurses, and registered nurses who are graduates of diploma or associate
degree nursing programs. Programs of study to prepare students for careers in professional
nursing are accredited through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
The Basic or Traditional 5-semester plan of study is available for U of M pre-nursing
students and transfer students, including LPNs. The Accelerated 4-semester plan of
study is available for students with an earned degree in a non-nursing field. A four-year
plan of study is available for eligible high school seniors. A 31-credit plan of study
