An alumnus of the Loewenberg College of Nursing at the University of Memphis, Dr.
Beasley obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in December of 2005 and her Master
of Science in Nursing, with a concentration of Family Nurse Practitioner, in May of
2010. Dr. Beasley obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama
in August of 2015. She has worked as a staff nurse in cardiac step-down in the Methodist
LeBonheur Healthcare system, and in advanced practice, Dr. Beasley has practiced in
primary care clinics, a specialty pain clinic and community palliative care. She currently
practices in hospice and palliative care in the rural health setting. A faculty member
at the LCON since fall of 2010, Dr. Beasley had a 17 year career in media, namely
radio, before going back to the nursing college. Dr. Beasley is the voice of "Let's
Talk Health" and you can hear her weekdays on WUMR, U92 at 4:55 p.m.
