Clinical Assistant Professor
Professor Robertson teaches Foundational Nursing Skills and Clinical Pathophysiology. Her past teaching experiences include Clinical Correlation Conference Transitions Practicum, Introduction to Medical Surgical Nursing, Adult Health Practicum, Advanced Adult Health Practicum, and Nonviolent Physical Crisis Intervention.
Professor Robertson is currently interested in simulation research on learning styles and clinical reasoning.
Professor Robertson is a member of American Nurses Association, Tennessee Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International. She is a life member in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Her services to Loewenberg College of Nursing (LCON) include Faculty Affairs Committee, Simulation Committee, Curriculum Committee, Technology Committee, Student Affairs Committee and Progression Committee.
Professor Robertson has over 39 years of practice experience with clinical expertise in leadership, staff development, acute care, critical care, telemetry, emergency care, hemodialysis, and skilled nursing. She is a Faculty for the American Heart Association in the disciplines of Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support. She continues to practice at Regional One Health and assists in supervisory coverage for nursing and the hospital. Professor Robertson is a doctoral student with plans to obtain a Doctorate in Nursing Practice degree as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
