The Loewenberg School of Nursing (LSON) at the University of Memphis Lambuth Campus
is proud to offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree to Registered Nurses based
on the core values of caring, diversity, integrity, and leadership. By working closely
with qualified faculty, you can earn a degree that will enhance your ability to positively
influence the profession of nursing and ultimately positively affect patient health
outcomes.
Complete this degree fully online where no trips to campus are required, or choose
the hybrid option where you complete coursework online but have some face to face
interaction with faculty. Our School of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on
Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Faculty from the RN to BSN program have the desire
and expertise to work with the Registered Nurse student.
The program teaches graduates to:
Demonstrate leadership skills and knowledge of the management process in designing,
managing and coordinating care Participate in revision of healthcare policy to help
shape the delivery of care and professional nursing practice Use evolving technology
to monitor and improve global healthcare Collaborate and communicate with patients,
families, communities and interdisciplinary teams to design and provide quality health
care Interpret professional nursing using perspectives gained from past, present and
future trends in nursing and society
Graduates are encouraged to participate in the LSON Convocation ceremony which celebrates
not only the success of the individual, but also the rich traditions of the nursing
profession.
