Teaching: Professor Litano’s areas of expertise include nursing education and cardiovascular
intensive care nursing. She teaches Medical Surgical II Nursing (critical care) in
the undergraduate program.
Research: Her research interests include infection control in the critical care setting and
family visitation in the critical care unit.
Education: Professor Litano holds a baccalaureate and master’s degree in nursing with a focus
in nursing education from Union University in Jackson Tennessee. She is a member
of Sigma Theta Tau and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
Other: Professor Litano has been married 24 years and is the mother of two college students,
Jonathan and Benjamin. Her personal interests include reading, traveling, camping
and pursuing photography.
