OMICRON DELTA KAPPA
UNIVERSITY OF MEMPHIS CIRCLE
Omicron Delta Kappa, founded in 1914, is one of the most prestigious and well-known
collegiate leadership honor societies in the United States. Chapters, known as circles, are located on over 300 of America’s most outstanding
colleges and universities. The primary purpose of ODK is “To recognize individuals who have attained a high
standard of leadership in collegiate and/or community activities and to encourage
them to aspire to higher achievements.”
The University of Memphis circle of ODK has a long history of recognizing outstanding
students on our campus. Members are eligible to apply for the David A. Collins Scholarship, which annually
awards funds to ODK members who are graduating and continuing with graduate or professional
studies at the University of Memphis.
MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
1. JUNIOR OR SENIOR STANDING-COMPLETIONG OF 60 SEMESTER HOURS BY THE END OF FALL SEMESTER
2010.
2. MINIMUM OF 3.10 CUMULATIVE GRADE POINT AVERAGE (TOP 35%) BY THE END OF FALL SEMESETER
2010.
3. PAYMENT OF $80.00 MEMBERSHIP FEE UPON SELECTION. Fee includes a lifetime membership
in ODK, membership certificate and pin, a three-year subscription to The Circle, ODK
magazine.
All applications must be submitted on line to ODK’s National website no later than
March 18, 2011 at 4:00 pm.
