Sharon Wrobel joined the faculty of the Division of Public and Nonprofit Administration
in 2010 and currently serves the MPA Coordinator. She comes to us from the University
of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she was an assistant professor. She has also held
appointments from Georgia Southern University and Western Illinois University. Her
teaching areas include human resources and public personnel management, public policy,
education policy, research methods, policy analysis and program evaluation.
Her research interests include education policy, equity, and finance, program evaluation,
and policy analysis. Her work has been published in a number of journals, including
Public Performance & Management Review and Public Administration Review. Her evaluation
work includes educational program evaluation with the Texas Schools Project, Illinois
Institute of Rural Affairs, Little Rock School District and the University of Arkansas
for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Head Start / Early Head Start. Dr. Wrobel has also served
as a consultant for a number of public and nonprofit agencies, particularly in the
areas of assessment, evaluation, and board development.
