Research and Teaching
Currently, my philosophical interests lie at the intersection of the concepts of “truth”, “objectivity,” and “subject/subjectivity”. More particularly, I am interested in the embodied and medical dimensions of the human condition in the context of modern society and culture, and in the prospect of developing an ethos in a broad sense that will be conducive to the realization of these dimensions in contemporary life in its cultural and political aspects. Although my philosophical research falls mainly within the field of historical epistemology and history of contemporary European philosophy (especially Nietzsche, Foucault and Deleuze) and history of science, I also have strong research interests in the relation of physiological and ethical concepts in ancient Greek and ancient Chinese philosophy.
