Professor Robinson (PhD, State University of New York at Stony Brook) joined the department in 1981. He also received an MA from the University of Texas and studied at the University of Erlangen (Germany). His teaching areas are Kant, rationalism, and history of modern philosophy. His work has appeared in Kant-Studien, Pacific Philosophical Quarterly, Proceedings of the 5th International Kant Congress, and Journal of the History of Philosophy. He has been a Humboldt Fellow at the Universities of Mainz and Freiburg (Germany) and is a past president of both the North American Kant Society and the Southwestern Philosophical Society. He was coordinator of the Eighth International Kant Congress.
