Research and Teaching
Joey's broad interest is ontology with three particular emphases:
  • The use of death as a meaning-giving phenomenon in Heidegger and Derrida.
  • The delimitation of horizon with respect to racism, privilege, and responsibility.
  • The confrontation of natality and facticity.
Joey currently teaches full-time at Southwest Tennessee Community College and is principally concerned with undergraduate education.
