The Philosophy Circle is a registered student organization for undergraduates (of
any major) with an interest in philosophy. The "Circle" meets throughout the fall
and spring semesters to present guest speakers, host discussions, and organize reading
groups. In addition to its regular meetings, the Circle hosts an annual undergraduate
conference each spring that coincides with the Midsouth Philosophy Conference. The
Philosophy Circle advisor is Dr. Somogy Varga.

The Philosophy Circle also provides tutoring in all areas of philosophy, including
paper-writing help for philosophical papers. For more information about tutoring and
paper-writing, contact Nick Tominello at nftmnllo<at>memphis<dot>edu. Please include
your name, what class you are in, your professor, and what area of philosophy you
need tutoring in.

Upcoming Events
Friday, February, 1 2013: Philosophy Circle meeting in CL 317 at 1:00 pm. This is the first meeting of the
semester. We will use this meeting to talk about the upcoming Midsouth Undergraduate
Philosophy Conference and the upcoming book sale/giveaway. We will conclude the meeting
with an open discussion of any philosophical topic brought to the meeting. So come
with your thinking caps on!

Annual Undergraduate Conference
In conjunction with the annual Midsouth Philosophy Conference, the annual Midsouth Undergraduate Philosophy Conference will be held February 16,
2013 at Rhodes College in Memphis.
The date for paper submissions has passed, and we have selected 16 excellent papers
that will be presented at the conference. Schedule and paper titles to follow.
