Title: Fractional calculus Approach to Theory of Viscoelasticity
Abstract: A fractional calculus theory of viscoelasticity is developed from a microscopic
point of view based on a lattice dynamical model of fractional oscillators. The continuum
limit leads to a fractional diffusion-wave equation, which is solved. Energy flow
and dissipation are discussed.
