Michelle
Banks
Director
Michelle
Banks has 24 years of experience in the higher education system
in Tennesee. Michelle began work at The University of Memphis
in March of 1986. She previously held a similar position and was
a tenured faculty member at Tennessee Technological University
in Cookeville, Tennessee for nine years.
Michelle
holds a BS degree from Fisk University (1974) and a MFA from Washington
State University (1976). Michelle has taken additional coursework
at the University of Memphis.
She
is an active member of College and University Professional Association
for Human Resources (CUPA-HR), having served on the National Board
of Directors for two years. Additionally, Michelle has served
as the Past Chair, Chair, Chair-Elect, Secretary/Treasurer, and
Director-At-Large for the Southern Region CUPA-HR Board. Michelle
serves as the Tennessee Board of Regents' Coordinator for Affirmative
Action Officers.
