Distinguished Teaching Award
Yvonne Leatherwood
The Distinguished Teaching Award goes to Ms. Yvonne Leatherwood, Department of English.
Ms. Leatherwood teaches composition and African-American literature. “Students like
her dynamism in the classroom and her caring attitude,” says English Chairman Dr.
Stephen Tabachnick. “At the same time, she is a demanding grader and someone who insists
on high standards.” Leatherwood earned bachelor's and master's degrees from the U
of M.
Congratulations, Ms. Leatherwood.
