Alumni Assocation Distinguished Research in Science, Engineering and Mathematics Ernö Lindner
Dr. Ernö Lindner earned his doctorate in 1985 at the Technical University of Budapest.
He has assembled an outstanding laboratory research group, and with them, a sustained
record of achievements in the field of chemical sensors and biomedical engineering.
His approach leaves a greater mark on his students: They leave with much more than
a degree in Biomedical Engineering; they become first-class engineers and scientists
with almost unlimited possibilities. His students have collaborated with institutions
such as St. Jude, LeBonheur, UT Ophthalmology, Budapest University and ETH Zurich.
During the past three years, Dr. Lindner has served as the Principal Investigator
on nearly $1.8 million in externally funded grants as well as a co-investigator on
many others.
