Thomas W. Briggs Foundation Excellence in Teaching Award
Anna Bess Sorin

Dr. Sorin received her undergraduate degree from Union College in Schenectady NY. After a year of traveling abroad, she went to the University of Michigan where she earned her Master of Science and her PhD while focusing on the social behavior and population structure of White-tailed Deer.

Dr. Sorin came to the University of Memphis for a one year post-doctoral position in the Department of Biology and the following year became a Visiting Assistant Professor. She is now an Instructor and the Coordinator of Undergraduate Advising and Scheduling for the Department of Biology.
