The University Libraries with the support of the Friends of the Libraries sponsors
Faculty Scholarship Week in collaboration with Academic Affairs and Special Events.
During the period April 16 – April 20 faculty-authored material will be displayed
in the rotunda of the McWherter Library.
Twenty-fifth Annual Faculty Convocation
President Shirley Raines and Provost Ralph Faudree invite you to participate in the
Twenty-fifth Annual Faculty Convocation, Friday, April 20, 2012. This annual event honors outstanding faculty by granting the following awards:
- Alumni Association Distinguished Research Awards;
- Alumni Association Distinguished Teaching Awards;
- Alumni Association Distinguished Advising Awards;
- Thomas W. Briggs Foundation Excellence in Teaching Award;
- Allen J. Hammond Presidential Service Award; and
- Williard R. Sparks Eminent Faculty Award.

Procession
We will leave the Administration Building from the central doors, turn left and process
past the fountain. We will then continue north past the McWherter Library and the
Art Museum and on directly to the ceremony site located just south of the Theatre

Recession: Faculty will leave the Convocation site in reverse order following the Platform Party.
Reception There will be a reception in the Lobby of the McWherter Library immediately following
the Convocation ceremony.
Regalia
Regalia Orders: To commemorate the University's Centennial, the Commencement Office and its vendor
will offer regalia for all faculty members at a reduced rate of only $19.12. All orders must be made by the deadline and checks must be made to Graduate Supply
House, when you pick up your order.
When you contact us, provide your full name, terminal Degree and institution, height,
cap size (range from 20 to 24.5), do you need the regalia for Faculty Convocation, Commencement or both? Have you ordered
in the past through our office?
