The child clinical track emphasizes a developmental approach to understanding normal
and deviant processes in children. This track offers diversified coursework, research,
and practicum opportunities related to child assessment, pediatric psychology, and
behavioral and family approaches to intervention. Faculty in the child clinical program
are affiliated with the Child and Family Research Area. Current faculty research interests
include child psychopathology and family influences on child development. Past students
from this program have gone on to careers in academic psychology departments and medical
schools, where they are able to combine their research and clinical interests.
