The School Psychology Association is organized to disseminate information about the
school psychology program as well as the practice of school psychology. The organization
promotes positive social relationships and communication between students in the school
psychology program. The organization facilitates involvement in state and
national
professional organizations and provides professional development activities for students
and local school psychologists.
Graduate students enrolled in the school psychology program who are members of the
Tennessee Association for School Psychologists (TASP) are members of the School Psychology
Association. Graduate students from other programs and undergraduate students are
welcome to participate in any of the activities of the organization.
Meetings sometimes include guest speakers selected by the Professional Development
Committee and are held about once a month, when there is student and speaker availability.
These meetings are usually held in The Psychology Building. Please see our Professional
Development schedule for more information. Please feel free to contact us if you have
any suggestions for topics.
