Research Grant Murphy (PI) 7/2012 – 6/2017 National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism Improving Brief Alcohol Interventions with a Behavioral Economic Supplement ($2,234,949) Role: Principal Investigator
This grant will evaluate a behavioral economic supplement to traditional alcohol interventions
for college students that increases participation in substance-free activities and
counteracts impulsive decision making. Outcomes – including drinking, academic performance,
behavioral economic mechanisms of changes, and economic costs and benefits-- of this
3-group, multi-site, randomized controlled trial will be assessed at 1, 6, 12, and
18 months post-intervention.
