Biographical Sketch

Ashley Pederson received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Iowa in May of 2006. She is currently a third year student in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral program. In the HABIT lab, Ashley acts as project coordinator for one of the ongoing brief alcohol intervention trials. She also serves as a research clinician for the various other ongoing studies in the lab. Ashley’s thesis examined how impulsivity, distress tolerance, and negative affect relate to drinking in college students, as well as ethnic differences related to those constructs. Her major area paper was a comprehensive review of drug use among college students. Currently, Ashley is working on her dissertation and applying for internship.
