New NSF Funded ProjectsNew NSF Funded Projects

Dr. Art Graesser, professor of Psychology, has received three new NSF-funded grants. "Collaborative Research: Modeling Discourse and Social Dynamics in Authoritarian Regimes" is the title of a project funded for $582,000. Max Louwerse and Vasile Rus (Computer Science) are also working on the project.

Another project, "AutoMentor: Virtual Mentoring and Assessment in Computer Games for STEM Learning," received $742,248 in funding. Graesser is PI on the subcontract.

"Inducing, Tracking and Regulating Confusion and Cognitive Disequilibrium During Complex Learning" is yet another project funded for $420,000. Sidney D'Mello is also working on this project.
