The University of Memphis Center for Organizational Research and Effectiveness (UMCORE)
conducts and promotes basic and applied interdisciplinary research related to organizational
effectiveness including (but not limited to) organizational survey design, development
and administration, employee recruitment and retention, personnel selection and training,
performance appraisal and management, sexual harassment, leadership, motivation, and
organizational change. As a means of accomplishing these objectives, UMCORE secures
funding by establishing relationships with public sector and private sector businesses
at the local (Memphis), regional (Mid-South), and national levels.
