The MPH program at the U of M is an interdisciplinary degree program designed to train public health professionals in a stimulating academic environment in Memphis, which is known nationally for its medical and biotechnical research and development.

This is the only such program in this region, and the program's rigorous core coursework and flexible elective options will ensure every graduate opportunities for research and service that will enhance the lives and health of individuals, families, and communities here and throughout the Mid-South.

Award-winning faculty from the University of Memphis teach a wide range of courses in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Intervention Theories and Applications, Health Care Ethics, Health Communications, and other subjects critical to a successful career in public health.

Additionally, a Healthcare Interpreter Training Course is available through the MPH program. This certificate-granting program is available for bilingual-bicultural individuals and is conducted in collaboration with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Sustainable Technologies Awareness Day 2009
Join us Tuesday, October 6th from 10-2 pm in the Student Plaza. This event is designed to promote environmental responsibility and eco-activism among students, staff, and faculty at the University of Memphis. The event is spearheaded by faculty in Public Health, Engineering, and Marketing/Supply Chain Management. Save the date!
