Veterans Day will be observed this year on Friday, 11/11/11. UM is one of several Tennessee schools participating in the Remembrance Day National Roll Call. We invite our veterans and the campus community to participate in the day's events.

Campus Events/Observances

• 7:30am - 8:00am
  Motivational Formation Run, hosted by University of Memphis ROTC units. Where: Starts at Memorial Field (adjacent to the Elma Roane Field House).

  Veterans Day Opening Ceremonies & Playing of Taps.
  Where: Fountain in front of Rose Theatre.
  
  
• 8:00am - 2:00pm
  Armed Forces Documentary (recurring video).
  Where: Rose Theatre.
  
  
• 8:10am - 4:30pm
  National Roll Call: Reading of over 6,200 Veterans' Names.
  Where: Fountain in front of Rose Theatre.
  
  
• 10:00am - 2:00pm
  Information Fair.
  Where: Rose Theatre Lobby.
  
  
• 11:00am - 1:00pm
  Reception hosted by UM Veterans' Affairs Office.
  Where: Rose Theatre Entertainment Lobby (Counselors will be available in this reception area.)
  
  
• 1:00pm - 1:05pm
  National Moment of Silence.
