Have you ever wondered what you could do with a degree in physics?  Are you debating whether or not you should pursue physics as a career?  Do you have a family member or friend who is interested in physics and is looking for more information?

Find answers to these questions at the Physics Open House on Saturday, April 25, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Manning Hall on the University of Memphis campus.  (Registration begins at 9 a.m. in the Rose Theatre lobby.)

Successful physicists will share their stories and explain why they chose physics as a career path.  Guests also may take a tour of the research labs and teaching labs and mingle with faculty, students, and staff.

On the schedule are two presentations, “The Magic of Physics” by Dr. Robert Marchini and “Physics Chicks Rock!” by Dr. Robin Sellinger.  There also will be a special forum, “Women in Physics – Is it a Female Friendly Subject?”

Admission is free and open to the public of all ages. There will be door prizes and refreshments.
