U of M Will Offer Informational Program for Students with Learning Disabilities or ADHD University News

Making the Transition to College for Students with Learning Disabilities and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder” is the subject of a program that will be presented by the office of Disability Resources for Students (SDS) of the University of Memphis on Monday April 12, 6:30-8:30 p.m., in Brister Hall, Room 220.

Presented by the SDS staff, the program is designed for high school juniors and seniors with learning disabilities or ADHD or both.  It is also for the students’ parents, guidance counselors, and special education personnel. 

Topics will include factors to consider in making sound decisions about college, differences between high school and college accommodations, documentation requirements necessary for college accommodations, and a description of the SDS Program at the University of Memphis, as well as the new U of M admission requirements.

The program is offered free of charge  However, persons planning to attend are asked to let the SDS office know by calling 901-678-2880 no later than 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 7.  

Parking will be provided in Lot 19, across Patterson Street from Wilder Tower and Brister Hall.
