The Confucius Institute at the University of Memphis (CIUM) will partner with local
schools to host the second annual Chinese summer immersion camps in June and July.
The “All Roads Lead to China” camps will feature enrichment activities focusing on
the Chinese language and culture. These will include abacus training, Chinese and
American sports, calligraphy, culinary arts, dancing, painting, Mandarin Chinese language
lessons, Tai Chi, and Wushu. There will also be presentations from special guest performers.
The camps are open to boys and girls ages 5-15. Scholarships are available for students
who qualify.
