Teenage Author Will Offer Views on Mother-Daughter War

Ayanna McFarland

McFarland, a 16-year-old student at Whitehaven High School, has been an avid writer of novels, short stories and poems since the third grade. Mama Please! tells the story of the war at home between mothers and daughters. McFarland depicts both sides of the story and how the lack of compromise, respect, and understanding can lead to problems. She wrote the book with the aim of encouraging better relationships between mothers and daughters.

McFarland also will sell and autograph copies of her book.
