The University of Memphis will host a free informational reception on Monday, February 25, for Mississippi students who live in DeSoto, Marshall, Tate, and Tunica counties. The reception will be at the Desoto Civic Center in Southaven from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. (This event was originally scheduled for Feb. 5, but was cancelled due to the severe weather in the area that evening.)

Students and their guests will have the opportunity to learn about admissions, academic programs, student organizations, residence life, scholarships, financial aid, and the Honors Program at the U of M. President Shirley Raines is scheduled to attend.

Students in those four Mississippi counties may be eligible to pay the same tuition as Tennessee residents. The tuition program includes undergraduate, graduate, and law students, as well as transfer students and those in online degree programs.

Interested students may register for the reception by phone at 800-669-2678 or at 901-678-2169 or online at www.enrollment.memphis.edu/recruitment.
