More than 1,000 high school students will demonstrate their knowledge of foreign
languages and cultures at the 18th Annual Foreign Language Fair on Saturday, March
28, at the University of Memphis. The event will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the
Psychology Auditorium and in Dunn Hall.
The students, all from the Memphis area, will compete in a variety of contests, including
poetry recitation, writing, costumes, folk dance, drama, music, projects, crafts,
and a culture bowl. Competitive events will be conducted in French, German, Japanese,
Latin, and Spanish.
The fair is sponsored by the University's Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures.
Parking is available in the Zach Curlin garage or the Central Avenue parking lot.
