U of M Will Host Information on Proposed Master of Social Work Degree University News

The University of Memphis will host an information session about its proposed master of social work degree program Thursday, March 25, at 4:30 p.m. in the Mitchell Hall Auditorium.

The program awaits final endorsement from the Tennessee Board of Regents. Approval is expected in time for students to enroll for the fall 2010 semester.

The mission of the MSW program will be to educate advanced professional social workers for practice with at-risk populations, particularly children and families. The U of M’s program is designed to develop competencies, knowledge, values, and skills necessary for advanced social work practice.
