Considering a career in law? The University of Memphis’ Cecil C. Humphreys School
of Law will host an open house and admissions workshop Monday, Oct. 27, from 5 to
7 p.m. in Room 314 of the law school, 3715 Central Ave.
Prospective students will learn about the law school admissions process, the Tennessee
Institute for Pre-Law, financial aid, careers in law, and more. They also will have
a chance to meet administrators, faculty and current law students.

The Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law prepares graduates for private practice and public
service. The school was ranked fifth in the nation by preLaw magazine as a best value law school, based on three criteria: low tuition, the high
percentage of graduates passing the Tennessee bar exam, and the success of graduates
in finding employment. The school is accredited by the Council of the Section of Legal
Education and Admissions to the Bar of the American Bar Association, the official
accrediting agency for legal education, and is a member of the Association of American
Law Schools, the society for legal education in the United States.
Graduates of the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law include judges, other public servants
and leading practitioners in the Mid-South and throughout the nation.
