U of M Law School Will Host Diversity Admissions Forum Oct. 13

The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law will host a diversity admissions
forum for college students Tuesday, Oct. 13, 3:30-5:30 p.m. The outreach program will
be held in the Room 252 of the School of Law, located at 3715 Central Ave.
There is no charge to attend, but reservations are required. Reservations may be
made online at http://2009diversityforum.wufoo.com/forms/2009-u-of-m-law-diversity-forum or by calling 901-678-2528. The deadline for making reservations is Oct. 9.
Prospective students will learn how to be successfully admitted to law school, including
the requirements for admission, how to prepare for the LSAT, how to finance a legal
education, and how to apply. There will a presentation on the Tennessee Institute
for Pre-Law, the state’s only access-and-diversity summer law program. A panel of
current law students will answer questions about their experiences in law school.
Following the program, there will be a reception with members of the local Ben F.
Jones chapter of the National Bar Association.
The event is sponsored by the School of Law, the Tennessee Institute for Pre-Law,
and the Black Law Students Association.
