U.S. Dept. of Transportation Reps Will Speak at Intermodal Conference Oct. 29th University News

The Intermodal Freight Transportation Institute (IFTI) at the University of Memphis will host the Fourth Annual Intermodal Conference on Friday, Oct. 29th, at the FedEx Institute of Technology on the U of M campus. The conference, open to the public, will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 12:30 p.m. Admission is free and includes a continental breakfast and lunch.

Speakers will include U.S. Congressman Steve Cohen, from Tennessee’s Ninth District; Randy Resor, policy analyst with the Office of the U.S. Secretary of Transportation; Randy Butler, transportation specialist from the Office of Freight Management and Operations of the U.S. Department of Transportation; Craig Harper, C.O.O. of J.B. Hunt Transport; Ken Erikson, senior vice president for Information Services for Informa Economics; and Brad Morris, vice president of Marketing and Pricing for AAA Cooper Transportation.

The event will also serve as the quarterly meeting of the Memphis Chamber Logistics Council.
