The Intermodal Freight Transportation Institute (IFTI) at the University of Memphis
will host the Fourth Annual Intermodal Conference on Friday, Oct. 29th, at the FedEx Institute of Technology on the U of M campus. The conference, open
to the public, will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 12:30 p.m. Admission is free and
includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
Speakers will include U.S. Congressman Steve Cohen, from Tennessee’s Ninth District;
Randy Resor, policy analyst with the Office of the U.S. Secretary of Transportation;
Randy Butler, transportation specialist from the Office of Freight Management and
Operations of the U.S. Department of Transportation; Craig Harper, C.O.O. of J.B.
Hunt Transport; Ken Erikson, senior vice president for Information Services for Informa
Economics; and Brad Morris, vice president of Marketing and Pricing for AAA Cooper
The event will also serve as the quarterly meeting of the Memphis Chamber Logistics
