Campus Day

Future college students will find answers to their questions about college life when the University of Memphis holds its annual Campus Day on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 11 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The event is free, but registration is necessary. Online registration is available at http://recruitment.memphis.edu

The deadline for reservations is Sept. 26.

The event, which is also is open to students’ family members, will begin with a picnic lunch and entertainment by the University’s pop music group, Sound Fuzion. U of M President Shirley Raines and basketball head coach John Calipari will welcome the visitors to the campus.

Throughout the day, University representatives will be on hand to provide visitors with information about admissions, residence life, scholarships and financial aid, student organizations, academic programs, and student services.  Guests also will have a chance to visit academic departments of their choice, to talk with faculty, and to tour the campus.

A panel of U of M parents will give a presentation on how to help students make the transition to college life. A panel of current students also will be available to answer questions from their perspective.
