The University of Memphis will hold its annual Study Abroad Fair Tuesday, Sept. 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Student Plaza. Students will have a chance to speak with Study Abroad faculty, staff, and past program participants about international study opportunities. Information about summer, winter/spring break, semester, and full academic year programs will be available. All students who attend will have a chance to win one of three $500 scholarships toward a U of M-sponsored study abroad program.

The U of M Study Abroad program offers more than 160 programs in 40 countries. Students of all majors and levels can apply to study in the country of their choice. Most institutional and federal aid can be applied toward the cost of study abroad. In addition, the University has an International Experience Scholarship fund for students who study abroad. During the 2009-10 academic year, the U of M awarded a total of $486,900 in International Experience funds. All study-abroad applicants who have completed a semester at the University are encouraged to apply.
