Director

Peter Groenendyk Director for Residence Life & Dining Services petercg@memphis.edu Peter serves as the University's Chief Housing Officer in a program that has space
for 2,850 students. The Department has approximately 60 full-time residence life,
facilities, and office staff. In addition, the Department employs about 150 student
staff during the year. He is responsible for planning, directing and overseeing implementation
of all aspects of housing and dining services.

Hall Staff

Aretha Milligan Assistant Director of Residence Education armillgn@memphis.edu Aretha oversees the daily operations of residence halls and the functions, activities,
and presentations of the student development programs for the residence hall system.
Coordinates responses to student emergencies and works cooperatively with other responding
departments. Works closely with other units in Student Affairs and collects, reviews
and analyzes reports and operational data. Coordinates special interest housing and
Living Learning Communities. Supervises all residence hall staff

Brian Hall Area Coordinator II bhall2@memphis.edu Brian is responsible for managing Richardson Towers and Carpenter Complex. He is
responsible for making sure the hall staff are managing their respective buildings,
and are developing active involved and cohesive commitments.

Geoffrey Fenlong Area Coordinator II gfenlong@memphis.edu Geoff is responsible for managing Rawls, Smith, Mynders, South and Living Learning
Complex. He is responsible for making sure the hall staff are managing their respective
buildings, and are developing active involved and cohesive commitments.

Administration

Jenina M. Cantler Assistant Director of Administration jcantler@memphis.edu Jenina is responsible for the summer conference housing program and the maintenance
of guest housing. This includes developing the marketing strategy needed to ensure
a full summer conference schedule. The Assistant Director of Administration supervises
the Summer Conference Housing Manager and other summer staff as needed. Jenina also
supervises Graduate & Student Family Housing.

Glenda Barton Residence Life Supervisor gbarton@memphis.edu Glenda is responsible for the supervision of the Office Coordinator, Office Assistants,
and student workers. The Residence Life Supervisor writes and revises forms used
in assignments and room changes. Other duties include collecting and compiling data
for statistical analysis and summary of check-in, room change, and room reservation.
In addition the Residence Life Supervisor counsels students concerning the assignment
process and advises on adjustment to campus life. The Residence Life Supervisor writes,
revises, and oversees distribution of correspondence to residents, applicants, on
campus departments, and the community. The department calendar is also compiled and
distributed by the Residence Life Supervisor. Furthermore, the Residence Life Supervisor
oversees the filing systems and the assignment process.

Janet Kynerd Financial Services Associate jwwilson@memphis.edu Janet coordinates Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for housing and childcare
charges.

Facilities

Eddie Branan Assistant Director of Residence Life Facilities rbranan@memphis.edu Eddie is responsible for planning, coordinating and managing all phases of maintenance,
housekeeping, and renovations of Residence Life facilities. Acts as department liaison
to Physical Plant & Planning and to external contractors. Provides advice and assistance
to the Director of Residential life on facilities and maintenance issues.

Tony Johnson Coordinator, Residence Hall Facilities tjohnsn5@memphis.edu Tony is responsible for planning renovations and preventive maintenance activities
for Residence Life facilities's activities. Determines the work assignment process
for in-house personnel and outside contractor personnel. Assigns work orders to the
general maintenance and housekeeping staff. Is responsible for purchasing and inventory
control for general maintenance and housekeeping staffs. Coordinates with Physical
Plant work schedules for major renovation projects. Trains and supervises the general
maintenance staff; recommends training priorities; hires and trains student work crews.
Other responsibilities include acting in the absence of the Assistant Director for
Facilities in the areas of housekeeping supervision and emergency response.

Tech Support

Ann Marie Hall Local Technical Support Provider II annhall@memphis.edu Ann Marie is responsible for management of all IT initiatives for Campus Services.
She oversees any IT requirements submitted and technical support for Residence Life,
Child Care Services, Conference Planning & Operations and ResNet departments. She
ensures that all applicable services are working in accordance with University IT
and Campus Services policies. Ann Marie oversees operations of ResNet including all
SQL, EMS scheduling system, StarRez Housing system, EZCARE2 Child Care Center management
system, local IT support for Tiger Dining on campus and web application developments
by IT staff.

LaVaire Lockhart Local Technical Support Provider I llockhar@memphis.edu LaVaire is responsible for the department's technology initiatives and serves as a
liaison to ITD Infrastructure team. He develops and maintains all departmental web
pages, web applications and SQL databases; provides the department with technical
support and computer software training, and performs data research, disaster recovery
and analysis. He also manages the department's security camera system, and electronic
door access control systems and serves as the technical supervisor of ResNet in Residence
Life Housing areas.
