How to apply

Go to myMemphis>Student Pages>My Resources tab

  • Go to 'Housing and Residence Life' - 'Housing Application Portal'.
  • Click on 'Application' and choose the appropriate semester; then follow the steps through the portal.

» You will be asked to sign an electronic contract and submit a $45 non-refundable fee in order for the application to be completed. (waived for summer sessions)

» After the application has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation email.

» Under 18? Then your parent or legal guardian will need to sign your online contract.

NOTE: If you are having problems with the myMemphis portal, you may need to access the online application via the StarRez Portal. Please call our office at 901.678.2295 for more information and assistance.  


INCOMING RESIDENTS: The State of Tennessee requires all new students under the age of 22 who will be living in a University of Memphis residence to be immunized against meningococcal disease on or after their 16th birthday and provide proof of receiving this immunization before receiving a housing assignment. Proof of Immunization should be uploaded through the student’s MyMemphis account.

**Assignments WILL NOT BE MADE for students who have not fulfilled their immunization requirement for living on campus​. Please provide this information before the assignment process begins in June.
