The goal of the First Scholars® Program is to support first-generation college students and enhance their ability to successfully graduate.  During the freshmen year of this 4-year program, students enjoy a residential experience with other Scholars and the following highlights: 

Opportunities for social and community engagement A student success course exclusively for First Scholars®  (ACAD 1100) Opportunities to connect with first-generation upperclassmen

Personalized advising with the program coordinator  Connection with the community through service projects Leadership development through involvement in student organizations

The application deadline for the First Scholars® Program is February 1, 2013.
