2017 FALL CHECK-IN PROCEDURES

The residence halls will be open during the following hours for check-in:
Thursday, August 24th, 2017 - 1 PM – 4:30 PM
Friday, August 25th, 2017 - 1 PM – 4:30 PM
Saturday, August 26th, 2017 - 1 PM – 4:30 PM,
These are times you may pick up your key. You may move your belongings in anytime at your convenience after you pick up your key. Failure to claim your room by 4:30 PM on Saturday, August 26th, 2017, will result in the loss of your room assignment (and the charge of the $200.00 cancellation fee.) If you are unable to check-in by 4:30 PM on Saturday, August 26th, 2017, you must contact the Residence Life Office at 901-678-2295 and request to be placed on the Late Arrivals List to avoid the $200.00 cancellation fee and the loss of your housing assignment.

** TO CHECK-IN YOU WILL NEED YOUR VALID UNIVERSITY ID.
In order to have a secured housing assignment with the University of Memphis, all students must have a minimum enrollment of 6 hours.
ROOM AND MEAL PLAN CHANGE
If you wish to change room assignments, you may request a room change during the room change period. The Room Change period for the 2017 Fall Semester is August 31st and September 1st. You will receive information on room change at check-in. You are expected to occupy the room stated on your Fall 2017 housing assignment until the room change period. NO MOVES ARE ALLOWED PRIOR TO ROOM CHANGE.
If you wish to change Meal Plans, you have until September 1st to email reslife@memphis.edu stating which meal plan you currently have (if applicable) and what meal plan you wish to change to. After September 1st, if a meal plan change is requested there cancellation fees based on the calendar set by the Bursar's office.
