Please be concise with your answers. Please answer each question in approximately 400 - 500 words (Equivalent to one page double spaced). 1. Who are you? Have you ever attended a University, Student Life, or Residence Hall planned activity or event? If so, how did it (or they)benefit your personal or educational needs (goals)? -OR- B. Describe an experience you have had with Residence Hall staff. How did this affect your decision to apply to become a staff member? How do you believe that you as a Resident Advisor can benefit the educational potential of your residents? 3. Philosophy A. What do you see as the primary function of Residence Halls in the context of assisting students to reach their potential? -OR- B. Discuss what you believe to be the characteristics of leadership. How does positive or negative leadership affect the dynamics of a group's function? Give either hypothetical or real-life examples. 4. Case Study A. Chris, a resident on your floor has been exhibiting signs of an alcohol problem. The resident regularly oversleeps, misses classes, and comes in late at night with a belligerent attitude to others on the floor. You have noticed Chris recycling empty beer bottles in the recycling room. Would you confront Chris? If so, how and why would you do this? If not, please offer your reasoning. -OR- B. A fellow staff member brings an opposite gender guest onto their floor after visitation hours. You witness this personally. How would you handle the situation?
