Essay Prompt: How does the individual's choice to practice daily civility affect society at large?
All essays submitted for the contest will be reviewed by a panel of University of
Memphis faculty, staff, and students. Three winning essays will be selected, and the
authors will be invited to read their essays at a presentation ceremony to be announced;
readings will be recorded and videos posted on the Respect webpage. Excerpts from
the first place essay may be published in The Daily Helmsman.
