Mississippi River Project: Day 9

It is HOT. Unfortunately there is not much of a breeze on the river. What breeze does exist carries with it hot air. We can find some reprieve in the lab that has an air conditioner. We started our survey upstream from where we ended the previous day. We found what we think is the Reelfoot fault and wish to image it again.

Debris was not our friend today. Twice Dolly broke loose. It is not a simple task to reattach Dolly. She has to be retrieved and the streamer reeled in to zip tie her back onto the streamer lead rope. Rolling a heavy 300 ft (one football field) streamer gets tiring, but you gotta do what needs to be done.
