There are several ways to stay informed on and get connected to the countless service opportunities.
Tiger Volunteer Network (TVN)
The Tiger Volunteer Network is designed for students who want to learn more about community service and volunteer opportunities in the surrounding community. Students can sign up below and receive information about opportunities as they arise. T.V. Network students are not obligated to participate in the projects, but are encouraged to organize projects with friends, organizations, classmates, and colleagues.

Agencies: If you have an opportunity for our volunteers, please e-mail the details to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include all pertinent dates, information about what volunteers will be doing, and contact information for your volunteer coordinator. We will forward your message to TVN and ask them to contact you directly if they are interested in volunteering.

STUDENTS ADVOCATING SERVICE (SAS)
This student organization provides community service opportunities to the University of Memphis community. SAS sponsors such programs as Service on Saturday, Tutoring programs, and weekly service initiatives.
SAS membership is free and open to anyone and everyone interested in helping to organize community service opportunities for others. (You do not have to join SAS to participate in the projects and programs.) SAS meets bi-weekly throughout the fall and spring semesters and each committee meets regularly.

Service on Saturday
This monthly program, sponsored by Students Advocating Service (SAS), is designed to give students, staff and faculty a quick and easy way to volunteer in the community with no long-term commitment. The program usually offers about 6-12 different community service opportunities to choose from. Participants who sign-up in advance online, get their choice of these projects. Programs generally begin at 8:30 am with free breakfast and end around 12:00-1:00 pm with free lunch. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information!

The SAS Tutoring Program offers University of Memphis volunteers with weekly opportunities to tutor in the Memphis community.
- Hunger & Homelessness
The SAS Hunger & Homelessness Program provides University of Memphis volunteers with weekly opportunities to serve hunger and homelessness issues in the Memphis community. This committee also organizes the annual Hunger Banquet, a interactive simulation of global class systems and hunger issues.
- Special Projects
The SAS Special Projects Program also provides University of Memphis volunteers with weekly opportunities to be involved in community service. Each semester, SAS selects a different organization to serve and invites students each week to volunteer with that site.
