- Annual Elections:
Each Spring, the SGA elections are held to elect the Student Body President, Student
Body Vice President, and Senators. All candidates must meet the qualifications outlined
in the Election Rules, which are available in the SGA office. Notices will appear
in The Daily Helmsman about the impending elections.
- Incoming Freshmen:
The Freshman Council will accept applications in the Fall, and the screening process
as well is coordinated by the Office of the President. These application processes
will also be publicized in The Daily Helmsman.
- Vacant Senate Seats:
The Student Government Association continually accept applications for seats not filled
during regular election and seats that become vacant within the school year. All applicants
are screened, and appointments are made by the Office of the President.
- Cabinet and Committee Positions:
In addition, the President will also appoint students as members of various University
committees that are coordinated with the Office of Student Affairs and to the President's
Cabinet. All information concerning the process by which to get involved can be obtained
in the SGA office.
