The Legislative Branch of our SGA is made up of the Senate. Senators are elected in the spring and serve a one year term. During that time, it is their job to reach out to you the students. They meet every other Thursday at 7:30pm in the Senate Chamber. Those meetings are organized just like the real senate using parliamentary procedure and debating bills that the senators write themselves during their committee meetings on the opposite Thursdays. The committees are Campus Safety, Environmental, Finance, Judicial, and Student Services.

The bills are written to improve the University of Memphis. If you have suggestions for the senators, please email them based on their contact information listed below or return to the home page and submit your suggestion via the online suggestion box.
