Scholarships

The School of Health Studies currently offers six scholarship opportunities for our students. 

     Jane Nuckolls Scholarship in Environmental Nutrition

  • Graduate student in Environmental Nutrition
  • Interest in hunger issues and a potential for positively impacting feeding those in need

     Dr. Sharon van Oteghen Undergraduate Book Scholarship

  • Undergraduate student
  • Declared major in SHS
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

     Mildred A. Reeves Scholarship for Clinical Nutrition

  •      Graduate program
  •      Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25

     Dr. Mary Ann Smith Scholarship in clinical Nutrition

  • Graduate student in the Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetic
  • A student with interest in pediatric nutrition
  • Minimum cumulative GPA or 3.25

     Elma Roane HMSE Scholarship

     Undergraduate:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Full time student (12 hours)
  • minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 
  • Desire to work with young people through teaching, coaching, sports leadership, or athletic training and declared major in this discipline 

     Graduate

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Full time student (9 hours)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25
  • Desire to work with young people through teaching, coaching, sports leadership, or athletic training and declared major in this discipline

     Dockery- Faros Coaching Scholarship

  • Majoring in physical education
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Be a junior, senior, or above in classification
  • Show an intense desire to pursue a career in coaching
  • Show demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in the department
