ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF SOCIOLOGY
The Department of Sociology of The University of Memphis invites applications for
a tenure track faculty position to be filled at the assistant professor rank. Employment begins August 2011.
Applicants should have a primary specialty in at least one of the departments four
focus areas: (1) social inequality, (2) comparative social change, (3) institutions
and organizations and (4) deviance and social psychology. In addition, ability to teach methods, statistics, or social theory will be considered
a plus. Applicants must complete a PhD in sociology no later than August 2011. We seek candidates
with exceptional commitment to research and teaching.
