Dr. David Rosenthal, Associate Professor of Health Systems Management and Policy will serve as the Principal Investigator for the evaluation project, which will describe the approaches and strategies used to facilitate and expand health information exchange (HIE) in the HIE Program priority areas and other areas designated by the State of Tennessee, including:

• Laboratories participating in delivering electronic structured lab results;
• Pharmacies participating in e-prescribing; and
• Providers exchanging patient summary of care records.

Dr. Rosenthal's HIE evaluation team includes Dr. Sandi Richardson, Associate Professor of Management Information Systems in the Fogelman College of Business and Economics, Ms. Renee Ramsey, Research Assistant and alumna of the School of Public Health's MPH Program, and Mr. George Relyea, Assistant Research Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the School of Public Health.
